[Ouverture de dossiers] Temps d'ouverture (Résolu)

Bonjour à tous,

Le confinement donne un peu de temps libre pour poser des questions sur des détails de configuration sans trop d'importance mais que l'on aimerait malgré tout comprendre voire améliorer.

Le détail du jour concerne le temps d'ouverture d'un 1er dossier (quel qu'il soit) via l'explorateur de fichiers après boot qui est de l'ordre de 10 secondes. Après cette 1re ouverture, les ouvertures suivantes et la navigation sont instantanées.
Rien de rédhibitoire, je ne suis pas à 10 s près mais bon, si on peut améliorer...

Je pense que c'est en lien avec le montage non automatique des volumes de mon NAS en NFS4 mais sûr de rien.

Bonjour,
Cela est en effet dû au fait que le montage ne se fasse pas en tache de fond, mais uniquement quand tu le demandes.
Mais le temps de 10s est bien trop long, normalement cela devrait prendre moins d'une seconde.
Ton NAS n'aurais pas les disques dur en veille et c'est juste le temps de "réveiller" ton NAS ?
Tu peux le vérifier en montant le dossier comme avant, redémarrer et dans la minute (voir moins si tu peux) refaire le montage (en théorie cela devrai être plus rapide, ou alors le disque ce met très rapidement en veille)

J'ai fait la manip, le problème reste entier, mais je ne croyais pas trop à un problème de veille du NAS parce que ce temps de 10 s n'est valable qu'à la 1re ouverture de l'explorateur de fichiers après boot (quelque soit le dossier ouvert à ce moment y compris le home). Ensuite, tant que je ne reboote pas le PC, l'ouverture de n'importe quel dossier ou montage présent sur mon bureau est instantanée. Ce matin par exemple, au réveil de mon PC (sans boot donc), l'ouverture de l'un de mes montages du NAS a été instantanée même si il a dormi un peu cette nuit.

Du coup, j'ai fait un autre test en coupant les montages du NAS (j'ai commenté les lignes dans fstab).
Après reboot, les montages du NAS ont bien disparu du bureau et il a quand même fallu 10 s pour la 1re ouverture de mon home.
Le NAS pourrait donc être totalement étranger à cette histoire ? :?:

Ah, je n'avais pas compris la question, tu demandes juste pourquoi l'ouverture de ton explorateur de fichier prend 10s la première fois ?
Peux tu détailler un peu plus, qu'est ce que tu fais exactement, tu cliques sur quoi, tu lances quoi et comment, toute la séquence.

Peux tu donner un peu plus de détails sur l'environnement de bureau que tu utilises et l'explorateur de fichiers que tu utilises ?

Maintenant que le NAS semble être hors de cause, oui c'est bien ça.

À partir du bureau, je double-clique sur un dossier, par exemple le home, et j'attends 10 s qu'il s'ouvre.

Bonjour,

Dans une console tu lances thunar , et dans une autre tu lis les messages de journactl et dmesg, il y aura sûrement une erreur visible quelque part avec un peu de chance.

Si tu fermes ta session, après l'avoir ré-ouverte dans la foulé, as tu ce même délai lors de l'ouverture de l'explorateur de fichiers

Oui, il y a bien un bouton "Déconnexion" qui amène au même résultat.
xfce4-session-logout --logout m'a ramené à un terminal pleine page toujours sous [chon@Chon1404 ~]$
Ensuite, j'ai simplement tapé startx et suis revenu à mon bureau.
Avec cette séquence, l'ouverture d'un dossier sur le bureau est instantanée comme avant la manip.

Première parenthèse fermée deuxième ouverte, il existe un démon pour thunar ainsi il s'ouvre plus vite passé la première ouverture, un peu comme pour urxvt . Tu peux chercher aussi de ce côté là en seconde option mais ça ne résoudra pas ton problème des 10s qui à mon avis doit être régler en premier surtout avec un SSD.

Je sais que tu as déjà essayé avec ton fichier "/etc/fstab" modifié mais si j'étais toi j'essayerai aussi en coupant le réseau pour être sûr que rien ne transite, ça ne mange pas de pain, bref il faut tenter plusieurs choses quoi.

1) Effectivement, je n'avais pas mis le résultat de la commande thunar, tout simplement parce que lancée dans un tty depuis le bureau du PC, elle ne m'avait fait qu'ouvrir mon dossier home sans aucune autre information. Je n'avais donc pas jugé utile d'encombrer ma réponse avec un résultat qui me paraissait sans importance.

2) Oui, le log débute le 11/08/18 mais avec la commande journalctl -f, il se limite visiblement à ce qui a été fait depuis le dernier boot. On peut d'ailleurs voir que j'ai stoppé rslsync parce que sinon, le log n'arrête pas de se remplir. Le log :

Et la commande thunar ouvre la fenêtre du home comme écrit précédemment.

Alors là, peut-être une piste !!
Après boot, si je désactive le réseau avant toute autre chose, le 1re ouverture d'un dossier (mon home) est quasi instantanée (pas plus d'1 seconde).
Si ensuite je réactive le réseau, les ouvertures restent instantanées.
