[hibernation] écran noir après MAJ kernel (contourné)

Bonjour à tous,

Suite au passage au kernel 3.8 l'autre jour, mon écran (portable) reste noir, même pas rétro-éclairé (enfin, je crois) lors que je sors mon portable de sa veille (RAM).
Par contre, tout fonctionne bien, je peux rebooter en aveugle en me logant sur le tty1

Je ne sais pas trop par où chercher. La seule chose que j'ai pu noter, c'est une erreur sur le module "modesettings" que Xorg ne semble pas trouver.

Quel driver graphique utilises tu ? Peux tu nous donner l'intégralité de ton log de Xorg ?
Ainsi que la sortie de :

Sinon, j'ai lu des cas un peu similaire( plutôt des black screen + freeze) sur le forum anglophone, et il parait que des bugs vont être corrigés en kernel 3.9... au pire, j'attendrai ce nouveau kernel (si ce n'est que qq jours, voire qq semaines). ;)

tu as aussi le choix d'éteindre directement ton portable au lieu d'utiliser le mode veille ram ( et ça économise l’énergie, tout est vraiment éteint ), avec systemd qui rend le démarrage et l'arrêt rapide le mode veille ram est de moins en moins justifié je trouve, à la rigueur le mode "hibernation" avec la ram recopiée sur le disque dur me semble un peu plus pertinent,

sur mon portable assez vieux le mode veille ram n'a jamais voulu fonctionner correctement quelque soit les versions du noyau, écran noir.

Moi, c'est la veille sur disque qui a rarement foncitonné ! Mais j'avoue que je n'ai pas réessayé depuis bien longtemps.
En plus, avec un SSD, c'est vrai que ce serait rapide.

Néanmoins, je viens à l'instant de découvrir une astuce pour contourner mon problème : en utilisant les raccourcis clavier du réglage de la luminosité !

Cela dit, ton petit mot sur la veille prolongée me tente bien, je vais y réfléchir... même si je me pose la question d'une trop grande sollicitation du SSD... ;)
