[cups] l'imprimante ne répond pas (résolu)

Bonjour,

Je tente désespérément d'installer l'imprimante Canon MF8200C. Cupsd est bien lancé et l'interface localhost:631 me permet de l'installer de plein de manières différentes (soit en réseau, soit en USB). Comme j'ai cru que mes échecs venaient du pilote déjà présent sur mon PC (sans doute via gutenprint), à savoir "Canon MF8200C Series CARPS2 ver.3.0 (color)", j'en ai installé un autre (via AUR) : "Canon MF8200C Series UFRII LT ver.3.0 (color)". Bref, ça m'a fait pas mal de combinaisons à tester. Mais aucune ne fonctionne.

Ce qu'il y a de commun, quelle que soit la méthode, c'est ce message d'erreur qui envahit le fichier "/var/log/cups/error_log" :

J'ai fait des essais avec un autre PC (sous arch aussi), j'arrive à imprimer en utilisant la connexion réseau quel que soit le pilote.

Bref, j'ai vraiment besoin d'aide !

Je ne sais pas ce que demande cette commande mais colord et cups sortent en premier !

Concernant le lien mentionné, je l'avais déjà consulté mais ce qu'il propose (désinstalller et réinstaller colord) n'a pas fonctionné...

Supprime ces fichiers et ton système sera déjà plus propre (tout le reste est normale sauf le plantage des services de Samba)

Quelles sont les nouvelles lignes affichées dans /var/log/cups/error_log quand tu tente d'imprimer ?
As tu le même fichier .ppd (/etc/cups/ppd) que ton autre machine : donne le contenu de ce fichier pour tes 2 PC

J'ai eu un souci similaire avec mes imprimantes, il me manquait simplement le paquet "ghostcript".
Mais ça ne veut pas dire que ton cas est tout à fait le même ?
J'avais aussi appliqué les conseils du WIKI à ce sujet :
"L'imprimante n'est pas reconnue dans imprimantes locales"

J'ai fait un gros ménage sur le PC qui n'imprime pas et la liste des paquets "non-natifs" se réduit désormais à ça :

ENFIN !!! J'arrive à imprimer !!!! Je me suis souvenu que j'avais eu un message d'erreur lors de la compilation du paquet "cndrvcups-common-lb" à partir de AUR (avec yaourt). Un truc idiot du genre "le lien symbolique ne peut pas être créé car le fichier existe", problème réglé en éditant le PKGBUILD du paquet.
Sauf que cette erreur n'a pas eu lieu sur mon autre PC (celui qui a fonctionné du premier coup). Du coup, je me suis dit "et si ça venait tout simplement du driver ?".
Du coup, je désinstalle le driver et je mets à la place "cndrvcups-lb-bin" (aussi présent sur AUR). Cette fois-ci, pas de compilation (dont pas d'erreur).
Et, miracle !, l'imprimante imprime enfin !!!

Je tenais à remercier tout particulièrement Benjarobin ! Pour ta patience, ta disponibilité et tes remarques pertinentes ! On a pu ensemble éliminer les fausses pistes une par une et m'amener sur le chemin de la résolution du problème. Et en plus, j'ai appris plein de trucs sur mon système et tu m'as aidé à le nettoyer au passage.
