[wifi] Plus de connexion en cours à cause de dhcpcd, wpa_supplicant ? (résolu !)

Salut à vous,
Un retour d'expérience qui m'a bien fait galérer : Depuis 3 ou 4 jours je n'avais plus de connexion wifi, alors que je voyais le signal existant correct.
(À noter que ma précédente mise à jour du système remontait à une quinzaine de jours, donc je ne pensais pas qu'elle puisse être en cause.)

Je lançais :
  • systemd-networkd
  • dhcpcd
  • wpa_supplicant
Je ne comprenais pas pourquoi je n'arrivais plus à attraper des signaux (une indication "no IPv6 Routers available", mais ce n'était pas ça).

Le post Connexion impossible sur certains sites m'a mis la puce à l'oreille : j'ai rétrogradé dhcpcd à une version antérieure à la 9, et là, c'est revenu...

C'est peut-être un bug qu'il faudrait que je signale à l'occasion.

Tu ne dois pas lancer tout cela... C'est un miracle que cela fonctionnait avant.
Si tu utilises systemd-networkd, que je te recommande, bien que je préfère NetworkManager quand le PC à une carte Wifi, tu ne dois utiliser que systemd-networkd

Du coup je suis passé à NetworkManager (j'avais choisi par hasard Networkd, qui est peut-être bien mais qui n'a pas ta préférence :wink: ), et ça a bien marché les premiers temps.
Puis ralentissements, réseau inaccessible... Je retourne sur systemd-networkd (sans le dhcpcd cette fois) et ça ne marche guère mieux... Pour à la fin ne plus avoir de connexion effective (dans la théorie, je reçois un signal, mais dans la pratique, le ping ne marche pas).

J'ai désactivé iptables (c'est temporaire, je vais le remettre). Je suis dans un hôtel qui a des points multiples de connexion (d'une très bonne qualité, à titre d'exemple, un fichier de 700 Mo a été téléchargé en 4 minutes, chez moi je n'ai même pas ce débit).
Pourtant, on dirait que je n'arrive pas à capter les signaux sous linux (là, j'écris sous un autre OS, sur mon même ordi, ce qui exclut un problème technique).
Quand j'ai le réseau, c'est pendant quelques minutes, puis je le perds. Idem quand je passe sur le 2e point relai.

J'ai peut-être installé une saleté (WeChat avec electron ?) que j'ai viré depuis...
Du coup, je retire le "résolu" de mon titre (je n'avais pas fait exprès hier, je pensais que ça marchait)

On dirait qu'il y a sous linux des coupure plus fréquentes que sous l'autre OS, avec des reconnexions qui ne réussissent pas parce que le mot de passe ne correspondrait pas ? 🤔

Surtout qu'au lancement de NM (pour l'instant tant que ça ne marche pas bien, j'utilise start ; quand ça ira, je passerai en enable) le réseau wifi WPA est reconnu avec la clé que je n'ai pas besoin de retaper. Donc pourquoi après, l'ordinateur perd la clé ?

Mon /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf :

Pour que ça marche, j'avais écrit cette instruction pas très orthodoxe :

Mais ça, c'était avant.
Maintenant je suis sous NM.

Tu ne devrais pas avoir de fichier dans /etc/wpa_supplicant/
Dans NetworkManager je te conseil (pour l'instant) de configurer la chose pour que le mot de passe soit stocké de manière globale (pour tous les utilisateurs)
Donc supprime tous les fichiers, supprime la configuration du Wifi via l'interface graphique de NetworkManager, puis recréer une nouvelle connexion...

Pour information (ce n'est pas utile ici) l'écriture d'un fichier ce n'est vraiment pas comme cela qu'il faut faire...
Cela ne sert à rien de lancer wpa_passphrase en root, ce que tu veux c'est que le processus qui redirige la sortie (via >>) soit root.
Donc pour cela tu as 2 méthodes :
- Te connecter réellement en root, via "su" ou via "sudo -i"
- wpa_passphrase MONHOTEL1 héhé | sudo tee -a /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-wlp2s0.conf

J'ai donc viré le contenu de wpa_supplicant.
Ma console graphique ne me permet pas de supprimer la configuration wifi, mais après jeté un coup d'oeil sur /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections, tout m'apparaît ok. Et surtout, c'est l'essentiel, ça marche actuellement ! Je vais quand même un peu attendre confirmation avant de placer définitivement le sujet en résolu.
