[KDE] Session qui ne démarre plus (RESOLU)

Salut à tous,

J'a utilisé mon PC sous KDE 5 toute la journée sans souci. Pas de mise à jour, mais quelques suppression de fichier dans mon home (notamment .wine pour refaire une installation propre).

J'ai coupé mon PC en fin d'après et au moment de le rallumer ce soir pas moyen d'ouvrir une session. J'arrive sur la fenêtre de connexion, puis sur la fenêtre ou KDE se charge (celle avec la barre de progression) et là plus rien.
J'ai essayé avec une session i3. Pas de souci, je me connecte correctement. Je suppose donc avoir un problème avec des fichiers de configuration de KDE dans mon home.

Pour en avoir le coeur net, j'ai créé un nouvel user et là aucun souci de connexion.

J'avoue avoir un peu de mal à comprendre et surtout savoir ce qu'il faut faire pour corriger mon problème en lisant tout ceci.
Avant de passer en mode bourrin c'est à dire :
  • sauvegarde de mes fichiers de travail et de quelques autres comme .thunderbird, .firefox, ...) ;
  • suppression de mon home ;
  • recréation de mon home ;
si quelqu'un a une astuce je suis preneur ;)

Comme tu y vas !
Il y a beaucoup plus simple pour le "mode bourrin" : tu te mets dans une console qui fonctionne depuis ta session plantée ou celle en i3, tu te logges sur ton nom d'user et tu listes tes fichiers cachés

ls -a
et tu les renommes, genre :

$ mv .config .bkpconfig
sauf .mozilla, .firefox, etc.
Une fois fait, si ça plante toujours c'est qu'il s'agit de tout autre chose qu'un problème de config, et reviens avec les retours de :

 journalctl -r --boot=-4 | grep fail
 dmesg | grep -i Failed

Salut Waitnsea et merci pour ton message.

Étant donné que je souhaitais avoir de nouveau accès à mon user principal pour ce matin, j'ai entrepris hier soir de passer en mode bourrin (d'ailleurs ta méthode c'est tout sauf bourrin ;)). Une autre raison qui m'a poussé à faire ceci vient aussi du fait que j'ai remarqué pas mal de modifs au niveau de KDE lorsque j'ai créé le nouvel user (une 3ème variante du menu K, des meilleurs traductions, ...), du moins ça été mon ressenti. Mais peut-être que cela vient du fait que je n'ai pas, auparavant, cherché à trouver s'il y avait des nouveautés.

Autre chose qui m'a poussé à faire ceci : le fait d'avoir un home plus que propre...

Mais en effet, ta solution de faire un backup des fichiers de config et de tout supprimé aurait été plus simple, plus sûr et plus rapide... je garde ça dans un coin de ma tête lors du prochain problème, c'est à dire dans un ou deux ans :)

Sous Windows ils ne mettent pas les mains dans le cambouis, et avec les points de restauration et autres outils Msft ils ne s'en tirent pas trop mal (sauf virus, évidemment).
Le problème (et je parle d'expérience) c'est quand on essaie d'y tripoter et qu'on est obligé d'utiliser de "merveilleux" outils de réparation qu'on ne maitrise pas du tout... :lol:
