[KWIN] KDE 4.2 et ATI (en quelque sorte résolu)

Bonjour,
Alors voila j'ai un problème avec Kwin le gestionnaire de fenêtre de KDE ( j'ai KDE 4.2 ). Lorsque j'active les effets 3D ( dans system setting ), j'ai des problème de ralentissement que je n'est pas lorsque je ne les active pas : la redimention des fenêtre est quasi-impossible ( au moin 10 secondes d'attente pour agrandir la fenêtre de 2 cm ), "maximiser" la fenêtre ( la faire passer de la bar de tache sur le bureau) prend 3 seconde alors que c'est instanté sans les effets. Pareil pour le menu KDE.
De plus lorsque je surligne un texte et que malencontreusement (?) je le déplace, je doit attendre au moin 30 secondes et parfois ca me donne un message " les effets 3D sont trop lent => desactivation ! appuyer sur alt+shift + f11 pour les reactiver)
C'est assez dommage parceque je viens de passer a KDE 4 et je le trouve excellent.
J'ai lu sur certains forum qu'il y avait des problèmes avec les ATI mais personne ne mentionne les même problèmes que moi.

Je l'ai ecrit moi même grâce au wiki du site alors ca ne m'ettonerais pas qu'il ne soit aps très propre .... ( j'ai l'habitude qu'il soit configuré automatiquement sous ubuntu , j'y comprenais rien mais ca marchais)

arf, j'ai eu le même pb l'autre jour...
Sur le moment, je pensais que c'était ma carte video qui avait laché (écran noir, mais PC fonctionnel).
Je passe le reboot inefficace, le démontage et nettoyage (inutile, y'avait rien) du portable...
Puis un reboot qui marche... ouf !
sauf que... pareil : kde qui merdouille : les icônes bugguées... et les effets 3D qui rament à mort.

Depuis, une MAJ de KDE a résolu le pb des icônes. Par contre, toujorus le même pb pour les effets 3D, que j'ai évidemment désactivés.

Donc, tu n'es pas le seul (et moi non plus ! ). C'est rassurant, non ?

Bon, le diagnostic est très simple, marqué dans les premières de la sortie de glxinfo : direct rendering: No.

Je pense que ton pilote est mal installé ou configuré. Envoie le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log stp.

Déjà, une bonne idée serait de rajouter à la fin de ton xorg.conf la séquence suivante :

Pour ma part, j'utilise le pilote libre 'ati', j'ai bien activé le DRI (vérifié avec glxinfo, etc...), et j'ai le même pb.
Je penche plutôt pour une coquille dans KDE 4.2.1.
En attendant, j'ai désactivé les effets 3D... ça ne me manque pas plus que ça.

Bon j'ai rajouter le truc a la fin de mon Xorg et du coup c'est bon j'ai le Direct Rendering !
Seulement mon problème est toujours la : c'est a dire une lenteur pour agrandir les fenêtres, pour afficher le menu etc !

Le problème pourrait venir de ça : avec google, on trouve que c'est un bug des derniers pilotes. Je n'ai pas trouvé de solutions à te proposer.

En fonction de ta carte, essaye -en attendant mieux- les pilotes libres radeon ou radeonhd ; radeon fonctionne très bien chez moi.

EDIT : histoire de ne pas laisser passer bêtement quelque chose, as-tu configuré le framebuffer pour l'utilisation en console (normalement, ça se fait dans la conf du chargeur de démarrage) ?

Le framebuffer permet d'afficher des images dans la console et de régler la résolution de l'écran en mode texte.

La mention vga=773 permet d'avoir un mode texte en 1024x768 à 256 couleurs.

L'utilisation simultanée de cette fonction et du pilote catalyst (fglrx n'étant que son module) peut dans certaines conditions entraîner des perturbations (personnellement jamais expérimentées).

Par acquis de conscience aussi, essayes de rajouter ça dans ta partie Device du xorg.conf :

Option "RenderAccel" "true"
Option "XAANooffscreenPixmaps" "true"

voire aussi (mais essaye d'abord sans) :

Alors non je n'ai pas la partie vga = ... dans mon menu.lst. Donc ça ne doit pas être ça
J'ai mis les 2 autres choses dans la partie device de mon xorg mais rien n'y fait, j'ai toujours des ralentissements
Je pense pas qu'il y ai de solution, mais que ca vienne tout simplement de kwin : il est a sont début et donc doit avoir certains bugs encore.
En tout cas un grand merci a toi pour m'avoir aider a resoudre mon probleme. Merci beacuoup

Voila j'ai utilisé les drivers libres radeonhd et ca a l'air de marcher ,pas trop mal ! Par contre il faut oublier les effets 3D ! Dommage... Mais j'ai un truc qui fonctionne correctement.
