Salutation à la Communauté.
Bien content de pouvoir m'exprimer en français.
En visitant les liens des dépôts, notamment :
Je vois bien les outils tels que

grub-2.2 et autres, mais je ne parviens pas à installer "ce qui l'est déjà", la réponse du système est la même pour grub non installé, que pour "dhcpcd" qui l'est déjà (suite aux mises à jour récentes).
Pour simplifier ma demande, commant procéder pour installer des logiciels, tels que les environnements graphiques comme LXDE, XFCE, MATE, éventuellement GNOME, et Firefox.
Pour l'environnement de démarrage (grub-install et grub2-mkconfig), je ne suis pas tllement pressé puisque Mageia 6 démarre Arch, même s'il faut lancer en root après la mise à jour du kernel :

Je suis un peu embarrassé, car je ne saurais comment procéder pour installer un environnement graphique, vu qu'il n'y a pas encore des outils tels CCM de Mageia, Yast de openSUSE, etc.
N'hésitez pas à questionner si j'ai manqué de clarté.

Je ne me souviens plus exactement de la réponse du système pour par exemple :

pacman -U grub

pacman -U dhcpcd

mais c'est du genre "impossible de lire ...", alors que la connexion filaire est activée par "dhchcd" lors du démarrage.

Bienvenue, mais si tu veux être aidé donne d'abord des renseignements sur ta machine et ton installation.

Il est impossible d'installer Archlinux de la façon "officielle", donc recommandée, sans connaître et comprendre les commandes de base

Je conclus que tu as utilisé une méthode alternative et sans avoir étudié au préalable les Wikis et les man des commandes.
Si tu commences la construction de ta maison par le grenier tu risque d'avoir des problèmes de stabilité...

Je ne veux pas ne pas te répondre, la commande d'installation de pacman est pacman -S, mais, j'insiste, ne vas pas plus loin avant d'avoir travaillé les notions de base et compris les pages essentielles du Wiki
Par exemple la commande Debian-Ubuntu update-grub n'est qu'un alias de grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg, sais-tu ce qu'est un alias et comment en faire un ?

Je plussoie : la charrue a été mise les bœufs. Toutes les réponses à tes questions sont sur le wiki, et sur Arch, comme tu as pu le constater, si tu n'es pas un minimum débrouillard (à savoir aller à la recherche de l'information), j'ai peur que tu te retrouves souvent bloqué.
Tu parles de CCM et de YaST, qui sont des outils graphiques propres à certaines distributions. Arch Linux étant minimale, il n'existe pas de tel outil officiel. J'en connais un qui s'appelle pacmanxg, mais vu que c'est un outil graphique et que tu n'as pas d'interface graphique, et bien, cela continue un nouveau blocage.
Je pense que tu es habitué aux distributions dites user-friendly. La philosophie d'Arch Linux, c'est KISS, et ces deux termes sont assez opposés. Qu'est-ce qui t'a fait choisir Arch ? Ça serait comme vouloir installer LFS sans connaître le principe de LFS.

Certes, je ne suis pas friand moi non-plus de ce genre de commandes "alias", car ça cache à l'utilisateur ce que ça fait. La preuve, les gens pensent qu'il s'agit d'un commande pour Grub, et dès qu'ils changent de distribution GNU/Linux, ils ne comprennent pas pourquoi ça ne fonctionne pas car ils ont acquis de "mauvaises habitudes". :cry:

Installation de "base" par l'ISO 2017.12.
Au début, j'activai
s le réseau par trois lignes de commandes "ip".
Après quelques mises à jour, je constate que "dhcpdc" est installé dans DB.
Lecture de la section anglais de "systemctl ..." pour activer "dhcpdc" lors du boot.
Relecture de "man pacman".
Mon premier message dans la communauté.

Essai réussi de :

Ce soir, lecture de vos réponses.
Pourquoi "pacman -U ..." ne fonctionne pas, bien que "-U" = upgrade/install?
Je voudrais installer "mate" (ou xfce, lxde) avec succès, donc complet, pour me connecter dans un de ces environnements graphiques.
Pourquoi installer Arch :
--je commence à m'ennuyer un peu
--il me semble avoir goûté Arch il y a pas mal d'années
--deux des trois distribs installées sont des "Rolling Release"
--construire sur mesure est intéressant : pas de Kontact, Thunderbird et autres que je n'utilises jamais
--ajout des applications réellement utilisées

Tu devrais lire la suite associé à -U :
Either a URL or file path can be specified.
En gros -U est conçu pour installer des paquets qui ont été compilé localement. L’argument n'est pas le nom du paquet mais le chemin (ou URL) vers le paquet lui même

Pour l'Anglais, c'était au lycée professionnel, et un des profs en avait rien à secouer de ceux qui ne comprenaient pas bien.
Je suis retraité depuis pas mal d'années, et la langue de Shakespeare est un peu oubliée, non pratiquée.
Je dois utiliser des sites comme reverso.net pour communiquer dans cette langue.

euh grub normale mais il n'a pas présent un dossier /boot/ et y a rien grub car j'ai plusieurs installé de grub et pas grub2 mais c'est quoi une problème monsieur archlinux ^.^

Xorg
Pour Mageia et autres Mandriva, les commandes

update-grub et update-grub2 lancent en réalité celle-ci :

Pour openSUSE, les devs ont créé cette commande "système", donc dans /sbin :

(en plus de la commande officielle)

probablement pour leurs besoins, efficace, mais totalement muette!
Merci de vous préoccuper de mon triste-ressort :) , mais ma préoccupation actuelle est d'installer un environnement graphique tel mate, xfce, lxde, du premier coup, prêt à l'emploi, donc avec un gestionnaire de connexion (sddm, gdm, lxdm, lightdm, etc.) démarré lors du boot. Car dans "cette région", c'est assez filandreux.
Quand ce problème sera résolu, j'aimerais discuter des diverses méthodes pour installer Arch, ayant utilisé la méthode officielle.

Salut, tout est indiqué dans le wiki anglais ou français. Sous Arch, c'est une obligation de se documenter avant de débuter l'installation
Il te faut installer X, le pilote de ta carte graphique, l'environnement de bureau désiré et un gestionnaire de connexions (pour un lancement auto).

Il y a plusieurs warnings, dont :
--openchrome ; carte graphique

Suite aux erreurs pour lancer Xorg, sans chercher pour ces erreurs, j'ai installer mate et sddm pour voir si cela arrangeait un peu la situation.
Maintenant, je comprends mieux l'installation de paquetages. C'est intéressant comme organisation.

À mon sens, X a démarré correctement...
De là, faut tester avec xterm ou directement un environnement graphique: Xorg

Merci d'utiliser la balise code plutôt qu'autre chose (un log se lit mieux avec une police à chasse fixe).

Xorg -configure ne doit jamais être utilisé, voir Wiki

Pouvez-vous être plus précis?
J'ai essayé cette ligne de commande pour tenter d'avancer un peu.
xorg et xserver sont installés, et ces deux outils semblent reconnaître le matériel et peuvent générer une configuration opérationnelle, j'ai l'impression qu'il y a problème. En plus, dans mon "aventure Linux", je ne me souviens pas de tels problèmes.

Nouvelle installation de "base" et mises à jour.
Me souvenant de quelques problèmes dans Xorg.0.log, notamment à propos de "fbdev", j'ai installé :
--xf86-video-fbdev
--xf86-video-openchrome
--xf86-video-vesa
mais refus pour "xf86-video-s3. Pourtant, la carte graphique est vue comme "S3" par XP.
en pensant que les deux éléments de Xorg (xorg-server, xorg-xinit) pourraient générer un fichier de configuration valable, puisque les pilotes sont déjà installés. Ce fut le cas. Mais il reste encore des problèmes. L'un de ceux-ci était l'absence de répertoires pour les polices "fonts". Mais un fois créés par "mkdir", il apparaît un autre problème que je ne sais comment résoudre. Voici Xorg.0.log :

Oh là là... Il ne suffit pas d'installer des paquets au hasard et de créer des répertoires vides pour régler un problème. :roll:
Les warnings, comme ça l'indique, ça avertit, mais ça n'est pas un message d'erreur, et encore moins une erreur fatale.
Ce que dit ton log, actuellement, c'est que le serveur graphique s'est exécuté avec succès. Tu n'aurais pas oublié de lui dire quoi lancer, à tout hasard ? Tu le lances comment ? Tu essayes d'utiliser quel environnement de bureau ?
