[Xfreeze] X semble freezer... ou non (résolu)

Alors avant toute chose je ne vous bombarderez pas de tous les détails possibles et dont beaucoup seront inutiles. Alors bien sûr je serai ravi de vous donner ce qui pourra aider à votre demande (laissez moi juste le temps je suis en décalage de 7H vivant aux USA).
Donc le souci est "simple" (pas tant, enfin pour moi, sinon je ne vous dérangerai pas) : X freeze. C'est à dire que je n'ai soudainement plus ni souris, ni clavier, ni... rien. Il me semble que le problème survienne le plus fréquemment quelques minutes après le réveil de xscreensaver mais je ne suis ps certain que ce soit le seul moment (enfin ça peut peut être aiguiller).
Pour conclure je dirai juste que ce que je qualifie de freeze ne semble pas l'être selon ce site (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze) car dans 90% des cas mes freezes stoppent après quelques longues minutes. A noter également que j'ai tenté les solutions de mettre DPMS off et également de supprimer tout appel à l'openGL.
Si vous pouvez m'aider mettre fin à ce souci récurent et très handicapant j'en serai ravi.

A mon avis il faudrait tester de lancer X sans WM pour voir si c'est bien uniquement X qui coince et si ça frise quand même.
Pour info j'ai eu exactement le même soucis avec un Thinkpad Tablet mais sous Ubuntu 10.04 et 11.04... Résolu en passant à Arch.
Quelle est ta config ? CG et processeur ?

On dirait que le soucis vient de la CG, c'est la même sur le Tablet 
Ton système est bien full à jour ? Si tu pouvais aussi poster le contenu de tes différents fichiers de logs Xorg.log et everything.log.

Tout a l'air correct... Essayes peut-être de désactiver le DRI, c'est décrit dans le wiki ici

De rien pour l'option. Content de voir que l'échange se fait dans les deux sens.
Pour le DRI j'avais tenté de le désactiver aussi mais dans ce cas tout l'affichage est ralenti (mouvements de souris, apparition d'objets...)

Bon... ben ça s'annonce plutôt mal
À ta place je testerais soit une autre version du pilote graphique xf86-video-intel (dans AUR il y en a plusieurs) soit carrément d'installer un DM complet histoire de voir si par hasard il n'apporterais pas un mieux mais bon...

Voir les dernières mises à jour avant ces problèmes ? Et effectivement rétrograder le pilote intel... voire même carrément xorg... même tester avec le pilote générique vesa... Tester un autre environnement ? (c'est-à-dire essayer d'isoler et reproduire, ou pas, le phénomène)
Au pif: un coup de KMS ? (peut-être essayer un chargement précoce, cf. wiki, plutôt que i915.modeset=1 )

Ouahou que de boulot FoolEcho !
Bon je crois que je vais "gérer" au mieux mon calme devant ces freezes parce que je n'ai pas vraiment ni le temps ni l'envie de tenter divers changements au coup par coup... (au mieux je tenterai peut être les pilotes vesa un jour mais c'est pas pour tout de suite)
Ceci dit j'utilise déjà le KMS (en modifiant le mkinitcpio) et les astuces du wiki (Shadow "True" et DRI "false") empirent les choses donc je n'y ai pas touché.

Il semblerait que la commande xset -dpms & ajoutées à mon .xinitrc résolve la problème.
En fait les solutions proposées sur https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze n'éteignaient pas vraiment DPMS.
J'attends encore quelques temps de tests avant de passer en résolu... on sait jamais

Il semblerait que cette commande limite mes freezes mais il y en a encore (et quand ça arrive c'est toujours agaçant). Cependant je n'arrive pas réellement à déterminer la cause du problème car ils apparaissent quelques temps après la sortie du screensaver ou bien quelques temps après lancement de firefox ou encore parfois simplement après le démarrage avec aucun de ces deux processus en action. Voilà qui est bien flou...

Ce souci semble en fait être le même qu'un autre problème que j'ai eu et qui a été résolu http://forums.archlinux.fr/topic10048.html.
Pour résumer les lag sont dû à ma carte graphique Intel i915 et au lancement du processus kworker qui surcharge alors le cpu.
