[xorg] Problème accélération vidéo

Bonjour,

depuis que j'ai installé le package " codecs-20100303-1-i686 " du depot http://repo.archlinux.fr/i686/, j'ai apparement un problème d’accélération vidéo.

En effet, lorsque que je lance une vidéo ( via vlc, mplayer, movie player ), la vidéo s'affiche mais si j'ai le malheur de cliquer n'importe où sur l'écran, xorg plante et je me retrouve sur mon gdm.

Il n'y a que sous vlc, que je souhaite lire un flux tv multiposte de Free, que vlc m'indique que l'accélération vidéo est désactivée.

J'ai désinstallé le codec pack, mais sans succès.

Qu'en pensez vous, cela vous est déja arrivé?

Tout d'abord en avait tu vraiment besoin. Je rappelle que ce paquet contient : "Non-linux native codecs". De plus tu possède quoi comme carte graphique, quel driver ?
Finalement ton paquet n'est pas à jour, le dernier en date est : codecs 20110131-1 : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=2697

La carte graphique est une unichrome c'un pc portable packard Bell - B3600 easynote / avec le driver xf86-video-unichrome qui va bien.

Je suis en train de faire un makepkg de ton lien aur. Je verrais bien.

Bon, apres installation du package de codes et reboot, Vlc me dit toujours ceci ( en lançant une chaîne du multiplet freebox ):

Your video output acceleration driver does not support the required résolution : 720x304 pixels. The maximum supported resolution is 736x304.
Video output acceleration will be disabled. However, rendering with overly large resolution may cause severe performance degration.

En effet, si j'active le plein écran ou si je déplace la fenêtre de vlc, ça plante et retour a gdm.

Le problème ne vient pas du paquet codec qui ceci dit en passant n'est pas nécessaire pour lire ta vidéo, mais plus de ton driver graphique xf86-video-unichrome

Oui ça doit être le driver qui doit avoir eu une claque. Alors, hors "Xserv" j'ai désinstallé ce driver puis réinstallé mais sans effet. Pensez vous que j'ai droit à un formatage de mon disque?

En fait le plus embêtant c'est le fait de ne pas pouvoir mettre le fullscreen et de ne pas pouvoir déplacer la fenètre de la vidéo...

Utilise-tu les effets graphiques de bureau (KDE, GNOME, Compiz ou autre) ?
Si c'est le cas, essaye de les désactiver.

Tu peux aussi essayer d'autres sorties vidéos avec mplayer : -vo gl, -vo gl2 ou -vo sdl par exemple.

Je ne connais pas vraiment le matériel VIA mais il semble exister deux pilotes différents pour les cartes et chipsets graphiques VIA.
D'après ton log de Xorg, tu utilises le pilote Unichrome.
D'après https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Via_Unichrome, il existe aussi les pilotes OpenChrome.

Essaye de tester ces pilotes.

Je n'utilise pas d'effets en particulier, je viens d'installer ton driver conseillé et le pc tourne mieux il semble mieux adapté. Par contre, je viens de chercher, mais pas trouvé comment ajuster la résolution de GDM.

Citation perso du début du problème:

Le message n'apparait plus mais le bug persiste à la commutation du Fullscreen.
