J'ai eu la bonne idée de mettre à jour ma station de travail au bureau ...

Petite anecdote, avant j'avais une erreur au lancement il me demandait le package ... synaptics :bravo: (j'ai aucun touchpad ou autre ...)

Je me suis aussi amuser à faire un fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf avec:

Avant dans dmesg il y avait à chaque lancement de X une erreur mtrr ...

Une idée ?
Plus ça rate, plus ça a de chance de réussir. En somme, un succès n'est qu'une erreur qui a finit par réussir (même par erreur). Ne déséspérez donc pas et perseverez. Utilisez La Rache™

Avoir ceci comme paramètres: vga=795 nomodeset => Pas de possibilité d'utiliser les drivers intel car les drivers ont besoin de KMS. Cela fait presque 1 an que c'est le cas... Depuis combien de temps tu n'avais pas mis à jour
De plus ne pas utiliser des UUID pour le chargeur comme pour fstab est "dangereux"

Je mets à jour régulièrement (une fois par jour en gros). Pour le fstab ... bof les UUID, ça marche parfaitement comme ça y'a un seul disque ... c'est pas une partition qui va faire sauter X.
Faut virer le paramêtre vga=795 dans grub? Je viens de faire ça ... et au reboot ... xdm démarre puis je mets mon login, mot de passe ... [Enter] ... et hop on revient sur xdm \o/
Aucune trace d'erreur dans aucun log ...

Aussi, le xorg.conf est déprécié (si tu as des trucs personnalisés, il vaut mieux les placer dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ pour laisser faire la détection par X le plus possible). :)

Cela ne va pas te résoudre ton problème, mais désinstalle hal qui ne devrait plus être utilisé !
Puis remplace ta ligne de DAEMONSpar

J'ai viré hal/hal-info changé le rc.conf , reboot ... pareil :cnulca:

C'est le noyau par défaut aucune personnalisation :(
Non en utilisateur (le mien ou test, pas moyen de lancer X) ça fonctionne qu'en root ...

Sinon non j'ai pas besoin de tout ça, j'ai juste tout réinstaller xorg / les drivers au cas où ... surtout que xorg (auto-config magic) il pleure si j'ai pas synaptics par exemple ...

Que contient le dossier de ton utilisateur de test : ls -a /home/test
KMS est bien fonctionnel ? Tu as bien un changement de résolution au milieu du boot ?
Je te conseil la lecture de https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel_Graphics suit la section KMS et force son activation

Tous dans leur version d'origine ( /etc/skel )

KMS semble fonctionnel, il y a bien un changement de résolution pendant le boot (changement qui permet à l'affichage d'être décallé de façon à ne presque plus voir l'état de lancement des services ... [DO ... )

J'ai rajouté i915 dans les modules de mkinitcpio.conf et lancé un mkinitcpio -p linux et j'ai rajouté i915.modeset=1 sur ma ligne de grub

Résultat: pareil depuis xdm / pareil en init 3 avec startx j'ai l'erreur fbcon :@ je vais m'acheter une carte avec un vrai chipset graphique genre une nvidia ? :D

Je ne pense pas que l'erreur fbcon soit la cause du problème :-)
Si en root cela fonctionne c'est que l'on a du oublier quelque chose...

:shock: Alors ben ça lance twm avec xterm comme on voudrais.... par contre si je mets dans ~/.xinitrc , exec fluxbox ou exec fvwm ça explose direct le startx :|

À cause du changement de bibliothèque libpng/libtiff, peut-être (je ne suis pas convaincu) ? Tu as essayé de recompiler fvwm ? :|
