[internet]Freeze système quand chargement d'une page lourde

Bonjour,

Ma mère a énormément de mal à naviguer sur internet : le système freeze très régulièrement quand elle essaye de charger des pages un peu lourdes (youtube, messagerie yahoo, etc.). La souris s'arrête de bouger pendant environ une seconde, puis l'écran affiche un damier étrange (comprenant des motifs de la dernière page affichée). Elle m'a dit que ça lui arrivait aussi au lancement de Firefox (rarement) ou dans thunderbird (encore plus rare).

J'ai fait quelques essais :
1) J'ai désinstallé le plugin flash : youtube fonctionne normalement mais la messagerie yahoo fait tjours freezer le système.
2) J'ai installé chromium : même problème sur les mêmes pages.

Sa config :
- archlinux 64 bits à jour
- carte graphique intégrée Nvidia geforce 6100

Que me conseillez-vous ?

Quel est le driver graphique utilisé ? Log de Xorg ?

J'ai essayé ça aussi mais ... je n'arrive pas à les installer : le serveur X refuse de se lancer et les logs ne renvoient quasiment aucun message d'erreur (de mémoire, juste "impossible de lancer le server X"). Ensuite, pour rebasculer sur les Nouveau c'est tout une histoire : Nouveau est blacklisté dans plusieurs fichiers de conf. J'ai mis une bonne heure avant de récupérer un serveur X fonctionnel. Je ne suis pas trop chaud pour recommencer.

Du coup, j'ai passé commande d'une carte graphique : ce chipset est trop capricieux.

Est-ce que tu ne penses pas que ça pourrait venir d'autre chose que de la carte graphique ? Après tout le problème ne touche qu'internet...

Je pense surtout que tu n'avais pas du suivre le Wiki, car passer de nouveau à nvidia, cela se fait tout seul, aucun fichier de config à modifier sauf éventuellement /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
Pour ta carte il te faut installer les drivers nvidia-304xx et surtout pas nvidia !

Tiens, ça alors ! Ça a l'air de marcher : je viens d'installer nvidia-304xx et j'ai redémarré. Bon, j'ai droit à un magnifique «out of range» au centre de mon écran mais ça devrait pouvoir se régler avec un fichier de conf.

Ah zut ! Je n'arrive pas à configurer mon écran !
J'ai d'abord fait un nvidia-xconfig qui m'a créé un xorg.conf. Je redémarre : «out of range».
J'ai édité le fichier xorg.conf pour y ajouter une ligne

Modes "1280x1024"
dans la sous-section Display de la section Screen.
Je redémarre : «out of range».

Dans Xorg.0.log, je trouve cette ligne :

Il ne faut surtout pas utiliser de xorg.conf, normalement tu n'as pas besoin de modifier et encore moins utiliser nvidia-xconfig
Donne le log de Xorg, une fois que tu as supprimé la conf que tu as ajouté / modifié.
Donne aussi la sortie

Ouh la ! Ça c'est très long, je ne vais pas pouvoir le recopier. Tu veux que je te donne le contenu de tous les fichiers de conf, c'est ça ? A priori, ça parle surtout de clavier et de souris mais je peux te faire une copie de tout le répertoire.

C'est sensé être relativement court... Mais pourquoi ne pas utiliser pastebin en ligne de commande pour envoyer un fichier sur pastebin.
Il y a plein d'outil de ce genre pour faire cela, voir Wiki. Ou tout simplement copier le fichier sur une clé USB
Comment tu as fait pour me donner le log de Xorg ? Utilise la même technique...
