[GNOME 3.8] Ne se lance pas après mise à jour (Résolu)

Bonjour à tous,
Ce matin, mise à jour vers gnome 3.8. Cool...

Code : Tout sélectionner

sudo pacman-Rdd libsoup-gnome
Sudo pacman-Rdd gnome-games gnome-games-extra-data
Sudo pacman-Syu
Et après, au reboot, ça reste bloqué à :
Systemd-fsck[219]: /dev/sda1: 317/38456 fichiers...

Que dois-je faire !

Mieux vaut désinstaller proprement des paquets qu'utiliser -Rdd (tu casses les dépendances et vu que tu as fait ça pour des paquets qui n'existe plus visiblement...). Pas sûr du tout que ça ait un rapport avec ton problème de démarrage, cependant (faut voir les journaux de systemd).

Je peux lancer gnome via slim, c'est déjà ça...

Bonsoir,
Chez moi ça coince aussi, gdm se lance puis deux lignes plus loin, arrêt, clavier inopérant (aucune touche)
"hard reboot".
En chroot, les logs ne montrent pas d'érreur sur gnome ni sur gdm.
Une piste ?

Edit : les deux dernières lignes, j'imagine que c'est ça qui bloque ...

Pareil que Gelato !
J'ai tout essayé, réinstallation de libsoup, réinstallation de gnome et gnome-extra. RIEN
Et même si je vire gdm du démarrage, impossible de démarrer gnome via startx, ni même avec SLIM.

Bon, finalement j'ai pu démarrer Gnome via SLIM comme Springbank.
Voilà le .xinitrc qui fonctionne:
exec gnome-session

Par contre, c'est vraiment moche, donc perso j'attends une solution pour GDM!

Pas de probleme a mon PC de bureau ce matin, mais, ce soir, au maleur...

1/ booté sur un CD
2/ chrooté
3/ systemctl disable gdm.service
4/ rebooté

se loguer en console puis

Je ne voudrais pas paraître méchant, mais au passage de Gnome 3.8, j'ai eu plus d'un problème aussi. Personnellement, je pense qu'on est beaucoup à avoir des soucis avec Gnome 3.8...

Personnellement je pense qu'il n'y en a pas plus que pour n'importe quelle mise à jour plus ou moins conséquente.
Déjà, le topic commence par une erreur fsck :shock:, alors, on peut dire que gnome fait plein de choses, mais jusqu'au fsck, il a pas vraiment son mot à dire.
Ensuite on passe du fsck à un démarrage sur slim :? il s'est passé quoi entre les 2 ?

En bref, il faudrait un peu plus de logs, surtout pour ceux qui n'arrivent pas à démarrer avec startx ou slim (les logs devraient être plus parlant), essayer avec un utilisateur neuf, démarrer gdm manuellement, ça aiderait bien mieux je pense.

Pour gdm, il y a un ticket ouvert : https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34893 certains d'entre vous sont peut être concernés.

(et au passage, réinstaller des paquets s'il n'y a pas eu d'erreurs la première fois, ça n'apporte pas grand chose)

J'ai 30 fichiers de log dans /var/log
J'fais de mon mieux pour vous faciliter la tâche, mais si on nous dit pas quel fichier de log il vous faut, on peut pas forcément le deviner ^^'

Désolé, je n'avais deviné que tu ne savais pas qu'on ne savait pas que tu ne savais pas ... :)
Depuis systemd, il n'y a plus de fichiers de logs :

Donc pour avoir par exemple les logs de gdm (valable aussi pour slim) s'il est lancé en service :

journalctl -u gdm
Pour X, c'est comme d'habitude : /var/log/Xorg*
Pour startx, c'est la sortie de la commande.

Ceci dit, tu arrives à démarrer gnome avec slim, donc en théorie, aussi avec startx vu que c'est la même commande qui est lancée.

T'cho, tu m'en apprends une.
Encore du mal à me faire à systemd moi.

Donc oui, effectivement personnellement c'est GDM qui foire. Pour le moment je suis au bureau, j'éditerai mon message lorsque je serai chez moi en postant le journal de GDM et XORG. Je garde le ticket de côté, en espérant une solution.

EDIT 2:

Il semblerait que le soucis vient en fait de MESA, le driver pour les cartes intel.
Le soucis a été réglé pour moi en ajoutant:

i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 
à la fin de la ligne APPEND=... dans /boot/syslinux/syslinux.cfg

content de voir que vous avez résolu le problème avec GDM 3.8. Avez-vous eu d'autres difficultés avec le passage en 3.8 ?
