[disque dur] Perte d'identité (contourné et abandonné)

Bonjour
Après la mise à jour d'hier j'ai relancé le PC puisqu'il y avait un changement de noyau, une habitude.
Et là impossible de redémarrer l'uuid de ma partition /home a été perdue et son label qui me sert au montage aussi.
Je passe les détails de contournement et de raccommodage pour en arriver aux deux questions essentielles :
Comment est possible de perdre l'uuid ? Et comment faire pour la retrouver (sans rien casser) ?

Où est passée la partition sda5 (maison) alors que gparted la voit ?

Cela ne répond pas à ma question mais au moins on peut discuter.
Pour mes nouvelles installations j'utilise ext4 maintenant, après avoir essayer aussi xfs. Si tu as une méthode ou un truc quelconque pour transformer une partition ext3 en ext4 tout en conservant les données qui s'y trouvent je suis preneur.
Une distribution en rolling release se met donc à jour sur le système de fichiers d'origine. Peut on considérer cela comme un handicap ?

Tu as juste à remplacer ext3 par ext4 dans le fstab. Pour profiter de toutes les fonctionnalités de ext4, je te conseil de suivre un guide détaillant la migration, par exemple: https://www.debian-administration.org/a ... filesystem

Mais au sujet de ma perte d'uuid ?

L'uuid est contenu dans le système de fichier.
Donc tu dois convertir ton système de fichier tel que décrit dans le lien

Je viens de passer mon répertoire /home en ext4 comme suggéré et bien cela ne m'a pas permis de retrouver son uuid, ni son étiquette, alors que gparted les voit lui.
Je préciserai qu'il est impossible, ou alors très difficile, de "démonter" la partition /home dans un système actif comme il est demandé dans la procédure. Il est préférable de passer par un /home intermédiaire et dans ce cas autant reformater l'ancienne, recopier la sauvegarde, modifier /etc/fstab et redémarrer. C'est moins fin mais tout aussi efficace.
Je vais continuer avec mes partitions de "confort" genre /opt et peut-être /data, mais pour ma racine je suis pas trop chaud, je vais étudier ça en détail d'abord.

À part une destruction de la partition en cause avec une contigüe aussi afin de les redimensionner et ainsi redéfinir leurs UUID. Je ne vois pas comment faire comprendre à udev que cette partition qu'il connait sous l'appellation /dev/sda5 a aussi une identité et un nom. Il n'a qu'à demander à blkid ou à gparted qui eux voient la totalité de son pédigrée.
La honte au front j'abandonne puisque j'ai contourné le problème, mais je ne suis pas satisfait.
