pot 20:17 ~ $ pacman -Syu
pot 20:17 ~ $ yaourt -Syu

C'est tout ce qu'il se passe quand j'exécute ces commandes. Si vous connaissez la solution prière de me la faire connaître. Le gestionnaire de paquets est complètement hors d'usage. Il a commencé par me donner une erreur parce-qu'une dépendance était manquante avec comme conséquence qu'il affichait les mise-à-jours possibles, mais sans les faire. Puis depuis la dernière synchronisation, il ne se synchronise plus et n'installe ou désinstalle aucun paquet. Il ne me dit même pas quels paquets sont installés quand je fais une recherche avec yaourt -Ss.

pour pacman, je vois que tu le lances en utilisateur normal, il devrait te sortir une erreur normalement.
tu as vérifié si la base existe toujours: /var/lib/pacman
tu utilises pacman-cage?

Quand j'exécute en root
j'obtiens l'invite de commandes sans aucun message. La base de données existe bien dans /var/lib/pacman et contient les informations sur les différents dépôts que j'ai activé. J'ai fait il y a peu

comment t'as pu avoir cette sortie avec yaourt ?
à ma connaissance, yaourt ne prend pas l'option --debug
mais peu importe, tu devrais modifier ton /etc/pacman.conf
- désactiver current qui est remplacé par core
- désactiver unstable qui ne contient rien (et c'est instable)
et je te conseillerai aussi de désactiver testing
et refaire un si ca te refait une erreur, reposte la sortie de debug, enfin surtout celles contenant "error"

Excuse-moi j'ai écris yaourt au lieu de pacman. Je constate que pacman créé un fichier vide dans /var/lib/pacman/sync/unstable au lieu d'un répertoire comme pour les autres dépôts, d'où l'erreur de la sortie de debug. En supprimant le dépôt Unstable ça recommence à marcher. Je vais modifier mon /etc/pacman.conf comme tu me le proposes. Je poste la suite. Merci tuxce.

Le problème venait du fait que le dépot unstable générait une erreur telle que décrite dans debug. J'ai enlevé le dépôt unstable et current, mais j'ai gardé testing. Les choses sont revenues à la normale. Je me demande toutefois pourquoi mon ancienne configuration de /etc/pacman.conf a fonctionnée si longtemps et que d'un coup elle posait problème. Je remarque aussi que Pacman ne désinstalle pas de lui-même les paquets installés qui ne sont plus dans les dépôts afin de les remplacer par leurs nouveaux noms. Ces paquets obselètes doivent être désinstallés manuellement, à moins qu'un option de Pacman m'échappe. En tous cas, merci tuxce. Je vais retenir l'option --debug comme élément de solution. Le problème est résolu !

Moi, quand je fais un Syu et qu'il y a un paquet qui change de nom, il me fait :
"voulez-vous remplacer <untel paquet> par <untel autre> ? [O/n]"
"Désinstallation de <untel paquet>"
"Installation de <untel autre>"

J'ai pas vérifié, mais je pense qu'il l'a fait.

Et à ta place j'éviterais testing et unstable, aussi bien l'un que l'autre, et je vois pas pourquoi virer current ??

Merci Calimero. Je vais m'appliquer à dire oui à ces questions lorsqu'elles me seront posées par Yaourt que j'utilise principalement. Je ne comprenais pas le véritable sens de ces questions.
