[nvidia] probleme avec une rtx 3060

Bonjour a tous
J'utilise une carte AMD RX6600 pour jouer et aucun problème et j'ai voulut tester une rtx 3060 mais la gros pépin...

Quelque soit le système linux utilisé (arch, debian, manjaro, fedora...) et les pilotes nvidia installé, rien ne fonctionne comme ça devrait.

Bien sûr sur Xorg, avec gnome et comme point commun a toute les distro un kernel 6.x. Sur nvidia-settings impossible de gérer les ventilateurs et visiblement une mauvaise gestion de l'énergie car en idle le gpu monte a 80 degrée et les ventilo ne démarrent pas. Si je lance un jeux avec steam, je suis au max a 5fps et je vois dans NV-settings le gpu a 0%.

Sur toute les distro le même comportement même en essayant plusieurs version du pilote (470---535) et bien sûr le module nvidia est actif dans tout les cas.









actuellement je suis sur la RX6600 donc pour plus d'info , je dois la remplacer

Il y a quelque chose qui ne va pas avec ton système (screenshots, ...), pourquoi le Display Name est en :1 et pas en :0.
Quelques questions (nécessite de remettre ta carte Nvidia) :
- Est-ce que tous tes écrans sont bien connecté sur la carte Nvidia ? Tu as bien une seule carte graphique de branchée ?
- Peux tu donner le log de Xorg (Xorg.0.log), vérifie que la date et l'heure correspondent bien.
- As tu bien installé les bons paquets, et peux tu donner la sortie de ces commandes :

j'ai deux écrans, un en 4K mais je reste en 1440p en DP et le deuxième un 1080 aussi en DP et suivant comment je les branche au cul de la cg, le display name change.
les deux écrans sont connectés et bien sur une seule carte d'installée.

Comment cela pas de log Xorg ? Bien sûr qu'il y a un log de Xorg, généralement le log se trouve dans /var/log/Xorg.0.log ou ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log, tout dépend comment est lancé ton environment graphique (voir https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General).
D'ailleurs quel est ton environment graphique, et comment celui-ci est lancé ?
Tu n'as pas donné la sortie de la commande pacman.... Peux tu donner la sortie de :

Les paquets que tu listes n'existe pas sous Arch... Donc tu n'es pas sous Arch Linux. Difficile de t'aider...
De plus tu n'indiques pas comment est lancé ton environnement graphique. Le fichier se nomme Xorg.1.log au lieu de Xorg.0.log. Il y a clairement quelque chose de pas normal avec ton système (cela laisse sous entendre qu'il y a déjà un autre serveur X de lancé), ce qui explique tes problèmes...

oui j'ai utilisé nvidia-all pour installer le pilote ainsi que toute la conf qui va avec, a part le nom qui change, les modules reste les même car proprio nvidia.

ensuite je suis avec gnome et gdm
par contre je n'avais pas fait gaffe au Xorg.1.log et je comprend ce que tu veux dire mais dans ce cas, ou ce trouve Xorg.0.log?? car je n'ai qu'un process xorg d'après htop





et find n'a pas trouvé de Xorg.0.log

As tu bien configuré GDM pour utiliser Xorg et pas Wayland (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GDM#Use_Xorg_backend) pour voir si cela ne résout pas tous tes problèmes ?

bon j'ai essayé différente chose sous arch et debian et toujours pareil donc je lâche l'affaire et re la 6600...

testé nvidia-open mais un seul écran et aucun jeux ne se lance.

J'ai vérifié, j'ai installé GDM juste pour tester, et Xorg ne se lance pas du tout comme chez toi. Note j'ai bien une carte Nvidia. Tu utilises très certainement Wayland, ou une configuration étrange...

je suis bien sur une session X11 et la ligne n'est pas commentée, et je ne sais pas pourquoi le log xorg n'est pas a sa place habituel (install arch classique avec archinstall) et seul les modules nvidia ne sont pas des dépot arch mais de chez tkg (steam dev).

oui je te fais ça mais avant,

je viens de prendre la 1050ti de mon grand et mes jeux se lance, ok a 15fps mais vu la carte...nvidia-settings est beaucoup plus bavard sur l'utilisation du gpu et autres info et la bascule X11/wayland se fait automatiquement suivant le type de gpu utilisé (AMD/NVIDIA)

Donc je pense que c'est la carte qui pose problème (gigabyte gaming oc 12go LHR)

Bon j'ai résolu le problème avec l'aide de chat-gpt et les log Xorg

Déjà acpi n'était pas installé et il y avait un W dans les log a ce sujet et un nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS m'envoyait balader et ensuite j'ai eu une intuition avec le bios de ma CM, mes pci-E sont en gen4 ainsi que mes cartes, normal me direz vous, je viens de les passer en gen3 et ça marche.

donc problème résolut même si c'est pas logique de rétrograder les Pci-E alors que la 3060 est gen4.

Content que tu es trouvé une solution.
Clairement tu n'as pas besoin d'installer ACPID. Ce Warning peut clairement être ignoré.

Si tu dois forcer GEN3 sur le PCIe c'est qu'il y a un problème de qualité de signaux du PCIe, soit à cause de la carte mère, soit à cause de la carte graphique. C'est un problème HW je pense... Mais si cela fonctionne sous Windows, je suis perplexe... Sous Windows le PCIe est en GEN4 ?

Qu'est ce que dans les logs de Xorg t'a laissé penser que la vitesse du PCIe était le problème ?

hum le windows en question est sur le pc de mon fils qui est en gen3 (A320M+R7 2700) par contre a cause du style de mon boitier, j'utilise un riser pour la carte graphique et peut être que la 3060 n'en veut pas et uniquement elle car 1050Ti et RX6600 passent crème (je devrais faire un essai)

pour la vitesse pci, ce qui me paraissait étrange c'est que tout était là pour que ça fonctionne et le comportement me laissait a penser que la carte était bridée (intuition débile mais qui n'était pas fausse) et ça sur plusieurs système Linux différent.

les log m'ont surtout amené sur acpid et dans le même temps j'ai pensé a tester les pci

Autre chose, je pense que c'est steam qui me fait les log dans .local/share/ car si je supprime ou ouvre Xorg.log et que je ferme steam, gedit me prévient que le fichier a été modifié (un hasard..)

Ne cherche pas plus loin, tous tes problème vient du Riser PCI Express... C'est bien plus logique. Est-ce qu'il est bien certifié PCIe GEN4 ce riser ?

Le fait que Xorg soit lancé ainsi (en tant qu'utilisateur et non en root), vient de GDM et aussi vient du fait que tu possèdes une carte graphique Nvidia assez récente, qui permet une telle chose si je comprend bien (si tu compare nos 2 screenshots de htop, tu peux voir que Xorg n'est pas lancé de la même façon). Quand Xorg est lancé en tant qu'utilisateur, les logs se trouve dans ~/.local/share/xorg/. Je pensais le fait que l'affichage soit en :1 était anormal, cela vient très certainement de la façon dont est lancé Xorg via GDM. Je n'ai encore jamais vu cela, donc désolé de t'avoir fait chercher au mauvais endroit...

Donc non ce n'est pas steam qui génère les logs de Xorg dans ~/.local/share/xorg/, si Xorg doit afficher un événement (qui est indirectement dû à la fermeture de Steam), il ajoute cet évènement au fichier de log.

Pour ACPI: failed to connect to the ACPI event daemon, clairement il faut ignorer ce Warning, installer ACPID ne sert à rien.

oui en effet, ACPID ne sert a rien, je viens de réinstaller une debian sid sur un deuxième disque et il n'est pas installé donc ça vient bien du pci-e et concernant le riser aucune idée, il était fournit avec mon boitier thermaltake core P8 et de bonne facture donc j'ai pas vraiment cherché plus loin et je trouve qu'une carte a la verticale chauffe moins surtout sur la backplate (simple impression personnelle)

Mais dans tout les cas, faudra que je réarrange tout ça quand je ferai un coup de propre dedans car a 20kg on ne s'amuse pas a le déplacer tout les 4 matin..

Pour xorg, je ne sais pas vraiment pourquoi il est lancé ainsi, sous debian, c'est root qui le lance.
