Bonjours a tous !

Je viens de passer sous archlinux, je précise que j'ai déjà été sous (k)ubuntu, debian et freeBSD sans avoir jamais eu le problème qui fait l'objet de ce topic .

Le problème en question aparait au lancement de xorg ("startx"), j'obtient soudain un écran de la mort qui tue, j'ai grosso modo une espace de masse de pixel qui forme un rectangle aux angles arrondis au centre de mon écran . L'interieur de ce rectangle est en grande majorité bleu et violet (le bleu étant au centre et le violet autour du bleu), et le noir autour jusqu'aux bords de l'écran, bien sur il y a pleins de pixels rebelles jaunes, verts ... bref que de réjouissances :D .
Mais le problème ne s'arrète pas la, en éffet non content de ne pas fonctionner, xorg bloque completement mon PC :evil: et je suis obligé de l'eteindre façon bourrin (en apuyant sur le bouton power quelques seçondes) .

J'ai installé xorg de la manière la plus classique possible, avec "pacman -S xorg", j'ai éssayé avec ou sans "X -configure" mais rien n'y fait, voici le log de "X -configure", il pourrait peut être vous aider .

Ma carte vidéo est une Geforce 9500 GS .

Le log qui est censé apparaitre lorsque je tape la commande startx apparait bien mais est vide (il est dans /var/log/Xorg.0.log) .

Pitier aidez moi je ne sait que faire ? linux c'est bien mais sans interface graphique je préfererait presque Windows (j'ai dis presque, faut pas exagérer :wink: ) .

la version actuelle de xorg n'utilise plus le xorg.conf :non: donc commence par le supprimer. Dans le dossier /etc/X11 se trouve un dossier nommé (de mémoire) xorg.conf.d. C'est là que se situe les fichiers de configuration de xorg. Mais commence par supprimer ton xorg.conf :wink:

Tu peux utiliser xorg.conf mais il faut faire des modifs
Il faudrait que tu modifies ton topic comme il te l'a été demandé lors de l'édition :chinois:

Je te conseillerai d'installer les pilotes pour ta carte... parce que le pilote le plus générique qui soit (vesa), à mon avis, bof, bof...
Pour ta Geforce 9500 GS, au choix: le pilote proprio nvidia (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA) ou le pilote libre nouveau (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nouveau). Au plus simple, tu installes les paquets 'nvidia', 'nvidia-utils' puis tu lances nvidia-xconfig (pour le xorg.conf de base) et après tu peux lancer le serveur X.

J'ai eu ce problème avec le pilote libre pour nvidia, je l'ai viré et mis le proprio et ça a marché, essaye de regarder de ce côté.

En effet, c'est mieux d'installer les pilotes pour un matériel quand on veut utiliser ledit matériel :-)
