impossible d'installer picasa à partir du dépôt aur ? avez-vous le même souci ?

Non, il faudrait expliquer où est le problème...

Tu as oublié d'installer le minimum requis. pacman -S base-devel

je n'avais pas à l'origine installé base-devel et n'en avait visiblement jamais vraiment eu encore besoin !
On en apprend tous les jours
