[GNOME 3] Rallentissement graphiques

Salut à tous,
Je suis nouveau sur Archlinux, venant plutôt de Debian, alors j'aurai peut-être ratté quelque chose, malgré une doc déjà très bien fournie et ça c'est super ;)

J'ai donc installé Archlinux, Xorg, Gnome3 selon les tutoriels que l'on retrouve dans le Wiki. Pas de soucis particulier, tout se passe comme prévu, sauf que j'ai de gros soucis de fluidité dans gnome 3.
Ma machine est un Dell Latitude E6500 avec une Quadro NVS 160M (prise en charge par les drivers nouveau et nvidia).
Avec les drivers Nvidia, tout est correct (même la syncro verticale, sans rien toucher, coooool !) sauf qu'ils sont proprios :P et surtout qu'il y a de façon très intermitente de gros rallentissement (par exemple quand on ouvre "Activités", celà saccade beacoup une fois, et c'est fluide après, même chose losque je défile le contenu d'une fenêtre ou que l'en élargie une).
Franchement lourd à l'usage à la longue.
Avec les drivers nouveau, pas ce problème là : c'est super lent tout le temps (si je déplace une fenêtre par exemple, ma fenêtre va se déplacer vitesse escargot :P)
J'avais lu qu'un temps les drivers nvidia n'étaient plus disponibles dans les dépots pour cause d'incompatibilité avec une nouvelle version d'Xorg, visiblement ce n'est plus le cas.
Autre détail : lorsque je sors de veille (sur ram) et que je vais dans "Activités", j'ai (au lieu de mon bureau légèrement grisé) des anciennes fenêtres ouvertes un peu n'importe comment, comme une sorte de fuite de mémoire)

Je sais pas si des gens ont déjà eu ces soucis là, si j'ai ratté un détail ?
J'ai essayé avec fedora sur une cle usb live voir si j'avais le même soucis, et ça marche très bien... mais c'est feroda quoi :cry:
D'ailleurs, tant que j'y suis, dans fedora > Paramètres système > Informations système > carte graphique, il reconnait bien ma carte (driver nouveau), alors que dans Archlinux, il dit "Inconnu" (alors que je suis pourtant en mode standard et failback)


Voilà voilà, bon après quelques autres détails qui n'ont rien a voir mais je me débrouillerai :P

J'comprends pas pourquoi l'aspect propriétaire, quand il s'agit de pilotes, rebute tant de gens... ce qui importe à mes yeux est que Nvidia se soit toujours préoccupé de faire des pilotes pour linux... :|

Déjà, faire gaffe quand tu jongles entre nouveau et nvidia: http://wiki.archlinux.fr/NVIDIA (kms d'un côté, bien désinstaller nouveau de l'autre).
... et jeter un oeil du côté des logs de X et de ta session, à tout hasard.

Merci de ta réponse ;)
J'ai effectivement fait attention a bien désintaller les drivers nouveau avant de mettre les nvidia. Mais ça ne change rien (j'avais d'abord installé uniquement les drivers nvidia sur une autre install pour être sur)
Je vais voir du côté des log de X et je te (vous, pour les autres) tien au courant !

Puis pour répondre au HS, c'était juste une plaisanterie. Après, c'est vrai que je trouve dommage de devoir installer des logiciels proprio sur un système libre quand on a le choix de mettre du libre.
Effectivement nvidia maintient des drivers pour linux, mais rien ne les empêche d'arrêter (rappelez vous, Stallman et le libre, ça vient justement des pilotes propriétaires !)

Ouais, je ne voyais pas d'erreur particulièrement inquiétante non plus... :/
En revanche, je n'ai pas de ~/.xsession-errors (ni dans ma session ni la root, car j'avais lancé X en root pour un test a un moment donné)

Bonsoir.
Je n'apporte malheureusement pas de solution. J'ai les mêmes problèmes avec ma GeForce 9300 GS, le ralentissement avec des fenêtres en moins, des plantages du genre « fuite de mémoire » en mieux : ils m'obligent à quitter la session. Ça ralentit une première fois bien avec le panneau « Activités » puis ça devient vite ingérable tellement la transition entre les fenêtres est lentes, des problèmes d'affichage en plus.
Mon questionnement, c'est surtout de savoir si c'est dû à Gnome 3 (avec d'autres gestionnaires de fenêtres que gnome-shell il ne semble pas y avoir de problème), aux pilotes nvidia (qui ne m'ont jamais fait défaut auparavant avec Compiz), ou des deux combinés. Est-ce valable avec toutes les nvidia ?

(Nouveau est pareil chez moi aussi : lenteur des fenêtres & cisaillement, mais ça ne semble pas affecter le panneau « Activités ».)

Avez-vous essayé un autre environnement de bureau (XFCE, E17, etc.) ?
Si oui, avez-vous les mêmes ralentissements / plantages ?
Ca viendrait peut-être de gnome3 qui ne serait pas optimisé :mrgreen:

Il y a eu au moins deux mises à jour du pilote nVidia depuis, sans compter les mises à jour des composants de gnome.
Mes constatations : plus de problèmes, sauf quand j'utilise Empathy (je soupçonne la barre de notif d'être responsable de plantages graphiques). Parfois il arrive qu'il y ait un ralentissement en changeant de fenêtre via l'exposé mais ça passe plus vite et après plus de gros problème par la suite.
