[wicd laptop-tools] ethernet non reconnu (abandonné)

Bonjour,


L'installation de laptop-mode a eu pour effet de me couper ethernet. C'est d'autant plus bizarre que cela marche bien sur un autre portable. C'est lié à une interaction entre les deux programmes, puisque retirer laptop-mode des daemons résout le problème.

J'ai essayé divers trucs: désactiver le module ethernet de laptop-mode (dans etc/laptop-mode/conf.d), inverser l'ordre de démarrage des daemons, attendre que wicd ait démarré pour lancer laptop-mode… Sans effet. Le truc qui aurait pu clocher est que dans le même temps j'ai changé le hostname (dans trois fichiers: rc.conf, host et wicd/wired-management.conf). Peut-être y-a-t-il un fichier qui traîne avec le vieux nom, mais toujours est-il que cela n'empêche pas wicd de détecter le cable sans laptop-mode.

PS: l'option log de laptop-mode est bien activée, mais je ne sais pas où atterrissent les logs.

EDIT: c'était a priori un problème de cable défectueux. Cela n'explique pas tous les problèmes, mais une partie d'entre eux. Je vais changer le cable, réinstaller wicd puis laptop-mode et voir ce que cela donne. Espérons que je passe en résolu pur… Désolé aussi pour la mauvaise catégorie du topic…

EDIT 2: même problème avec un nouveau cable, je laisse tomber et retourne sur cpufreq-utils combiné à powersave
