[xorg] mauvaise résolution de l'écran au démarrage (résolu)

Bonjour,

La résolution de mon écran n'est pas reconnu, j'ai donc crée un monitor.conf et un screen.conf, tous deux placés dans /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d

J'utilise KDE et depuis une semaine, je dois a chaque démarrage aller dans le menu "taille et orientation" pour choisir la résolution 1680x1050. J'ai beau chercher je ne trouve pas de solution.

ça serait bien de préciser le pilote graphique utilisé, montrer le contenu de tes fichiers de configuration, toussa. Enfin, si tu veux de l'aide efficace quoi.
À mon avis, il te faut supprimer tes fichiers de configuration (mais ça dépend du pilote que tu utilises...) et simplement enregistrer ta configuration d'écran via l'outil de configuration de KDE.

Je n'ai pas de carte graphique, j'utilise xf86-video-intel pour un core i7.
Le systéme n'arrive pas à récupérer l'EDID de l'écran, donc si je ne met pas de monitor.conf et de screen.conf impossible d'avoir du 1680x1050, je me retrouve limité à du 1280x1024.

Tu n'as pas de carte graphique... Je pense que dans ton Xorg, Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 en est une

La résolution que tu souhaites appliquer est-elle listée en lançant xrandr -q?

Ensuite, si tu utilises Grub2, tu peux essayer de forcer la résolution en la définissant dans /etc/default/grub file en y ajoutant GRUB_GFXMODE=1280x800 (pour une résolution de 1280x800 par exemple). Et tu finis en recréant le fichier de configuration de grub avec la commande grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg.

, j'ai bien 1680x1050 de listé.

J'ai donc rajouté à grub GRUB_GFXMODE=1680x1050, puis un grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Et j'ai rebooté.

Le menu de grub en bien passé en résolution 1680x1050, par contre en arrivant sur le bureau je me retrouve avec une résolution de 1280x1024

Ce qui ne vas pas, c'est lorsque que je démarre ou reboote l'ordi, la résolution retombe a 1024x768.

En fait, il ne mémorise pas la résolution 1680x1050.

Oui j'ai essayé de supprimer les fichiers de conf, mais dans ce cas pas de résolution 1680x1050 avec la commande xrandr -q, ni dans le panneau "taillet et orientation".

Si je n'utilise pas la modeline dans le monitor.conf impossible d'obtenir la résolution 1680x1050.

Mon écran est un ViewSonix VX2025 dont la sortie DVI ne fonctionne plus et dont l'Edid est corrompu, cela fait des années que je suis obligé d'utiliser ces fichier de conf.

Je repose mon problème car j'ai visiblement mal exprimé mon souhait.

J'utilise ces fichiers depuis plusieurs années, avant sous Ubuntu et maintenant depuis plusieurs mois sous Arch, à cause du fichier Edid de l'écran qui est corrompu ce qui ne permet pas au système d'afficher les bonnes résolutions.

L'idée n'est pas de supprimer ces fichiers de conf, je sais qu'ils sont obligatoires.

Je voudrais juste retrouver la bonne résolution lorsque j'arrive sur le bureau, c-a-d du 1680x1050.
Cela fonctionnait parfaitement avant une mise à jour qui date de quelques jours.

Aujourd'hui à chaque démarrage je dois aller dans "configuration système" puis "taille et orientation" et choisir 1680x1050. j'ai beau enregistrer la résolution "comme défaut", il ne s'en souviendra pas au prochain démarrage.

Tu n'aurais pas joué du su sans tiret depuis ton compte utilisateur ? (find /home/ton_user ! -user ton_user pour vérifier)
Sinon voir tes dernières mises à jour (/var/log/pacman.log).

J'ai ajouté ce paramètre à grub et tout est rentré dans l'ordre, et je n'est plus besoin des fichiers monitor.conf et screen.conf
