nomodeset ne permet pas de lancer de session graphique...
Tes explications ne sont pas très clair, sans nomodeset, est ce que tu vois les logs de boot ? En gros est ce que les tty sont fonctionnels ?

bonjour,

sans nomodeset j'accède à un tty

lorsque je lance journalctl -b0 je vois que slim.service échoue semble-il parce les tentatives de lancement sont trop rapides

Avant d'utiliser slim, que donne un bon vieux startx et les log associés

startx startkde ne fonctionne pas et les logs Xorg me disent alors :

Tu as besoin d'un .xinitrc ou de lancer via xinit. https://wiki.archlinux.fr/KDE#Par_.xinitrc

Autrement, il nous faut les logs complets... l'erreur en elle-même ne nous dit en rien ce que parvient à faire X ou pas...

si j'ai décommenté l'entrée startkde dans .xinitrc

et lancé cette commande. Désolé mais pour les logs du coup j'ai pas d'accès au site.

faudrait que je passe par un livecd

Tu ne doit pas mettre nomodeset si tu as une carte intel !!!!
Donc refait tout est donne le log de Xorg ainsi que la sortie de :

Salut,

je viens apporter des précisions :

si j'enlève nomodeset et quiet , après le défilement des messages de systèmed j'arrive sur un écran noir et là impossibilité d'ouvrir un tty via ctrl+alt + F2 (je suis obligé d'arrêter via on/off

les logs Xorg correspondant à cette situation sont ci dessous.

En revanche si je mets nomodset en enlevant quiet alors les messages de systemd bloquent après systemd autorization manager (tous les messages sont à OK) et là j'accède à un tty par ctrl + alt + F2

Tu es donc totalement contradictoire... Tu dis une chose puis son contraire 2 messages plus loin.
Bref, si on considère que ton dernier message est exacte, alors tu as un souci avec KMS : Une mauvais détection de la résolution de l'écran au démarrage.
Et donc c'est un bug du kernel...

salut,

à un moment m'a demandé d'activer nomodeset, et d'ailleurs y avait que comme ça par alt F2 que j'accèdais aux log que je vous ai donné.
Donc désolé pour la confusion et les amalgames que j'ai pu fait car je n'y comprends que dalle.

Pour le reste qu'elle est la solution ? réinstaller l'ancien kernel ? Et où est-ce que c'est indiqué le problème de KMS ? (c'est pour ma culture personnelle :wink: )

Ton seul espoir est d'essayer linux-lts... Sinon je crois qu'il y a un moyen de forcer la résolution, mais je n'y ai jamais rien compris (mal documenté)
