C'est justement parce qu'il reçoit le signal "fermeture normale" qu'il ne rétablit pas la session.
Si tu kill firefox ou swiftweasel, je peux t'assurer que chez moi il fait "session interrompue inopinément, restaurer la session ?" quand tu le relances.
Par ailleurs c'est dans les options de FF. (restaurer la session au démarrage)
