[Gnome/Xorg] Affichage déficient et lent(résolu)

Bonjour,

Hier, j'ai fait un upgrade de ma conf comme souvent, j'ai vu que xorg server se mettait à jour en passant.
Aujourd'hui je boot mon pc, je remarque que l'affichage de la console est différent et que mon interface graphique lag quand je déplace des fenêtres ou quand je fais défiler des pages sous firefox etc ...

J'avais déjà eu le problème lors de l'installation de archlinux, il avait fallu que j'installe radeonhd et que je démarre mon hal.
Mais là je vois que tout est en place, je ne me souviens plus comment j'avais résolu mon problème ...

Pouvez-vous m'éclairer ?

Tapes glxinfo pour voir si tu as de l'acceleration.
Tu peux aussi regarder dans ton fichier caché .xsession-error dans ton dossier utilisateur pour voir si il y a des erreurs.

J'ai le même problème, mais le pilote radeon n'a pas l'accélération 3D et rend les couleurs super flashies chez moi (ATI Technologies Inc RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450]), mais au moins il rame pas. Je voudrais réutiliser radeonhd qui gère la 3D (assez pour faire du teeworld), comment je désactive KMS ?

Sinon je n'y connait pas grand chose en Ati, mais avez vous testé avec le driver fglrx ?
Autre chose n'oubliez pas de vérifier votre rc.conf et votre xorg.conf pour les options (même sous nvidia je trouve aucun intérêt à laisser un xorg.conf vide). De plus vous trouverez souvent des exemples de xorg.conf avec des options(1) auxquelles vous n'avez pas forcement penser à activer (voir le wiki ou le net pour vous en inspirer).

(1) bien sur il faut qu'elles soient supporter par votre matos (carte, écran, clavier, etc...)

Il faut le rajouter dans la ligne de lancement de ton grub je crois.

Je ne veux pas de fglrx, si je voulais du proprio j'utiliserais windows.

Je peux comprendre la position mais on ne peux pas tout avoir. Perso. j'utilise les drivers de nvidia c'est la seul manière d'avoir non ps un bureau performant le mien étant minimaliste mais pour faire tourner mes applis. 3d et les jeux, il n'y a pas d'autres solutions.

Le pilote proprio (fglrx/catalys) n'est pas compatible avec la dernière version de Xorg.

Parfait, grâce au lien vers le wiki pour désactiver kms, tout fonctionne bien à nouveau avec le pilote radeonhd.

Pour info, il gère suffisamment la 3D pour faire des jeux comme teeworld ou half life. Ce dernier n'est pas libre cependant, mais vu que je l'ai, je l'ai installé pour tester. Je voulais tester open arena mais là dernière fois que j'ai regardé les paquets aur n'étaient pas à jour.

Avec glxgears en plein écran (1280x1024) j'obtiens:

334 frames in 5.0 seconds = 66.786 FPS
334 frames in 5.0 seconds = 66.783 FPS
332 frames in 5.0 seconds = 66.280 FPS

Aussi radeonhd me permet de pivoter l'écran (évidemment il faut avoir un écran qui pivote physiquement aussi, sinon c'est un inutile), ce qui est bien plus confortable pour lire des document A4 généralement en format portrait (plus haut que large).

Puis rien que les couleurs qui étaient saturés avec radeon, l'horreur. Là je revis, merci !
