Enième rebondissement avec cette daube d'Acer 5736Z

impossible de me connecter en wifi (pour couper court ) :
- netcfg : http://wiki.archlinux.fr/Netcfg#D.C3.A9 ... .28WLAN.29
=> vu sans succès

- wiki wifi (http://wiki.archlinux.fr/Wifi#Autres_m.C3.A9thodes)
=> vu sans succès

- il s'agit d'une broadcom (pilote b43 installés).

Il n'y a pas assez d'information dans ton sujet

Tout d'abord quel est la version exacte de ta carte:

Code : Tout sélectionner

lspci 
lspci -vnn | grep 14e4

En fonction de ceci, tu pourras savoir quel driver utiliser (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless) et comment tu l'as installé (c'est quoi pour toi pilote b43 ?).
Puis que donne la sortie de ifconfig -a

Le problème c'est qu'ArchLinux n'est pas conçu pour rester avec un système non à jour, tu vas avoir de très nombreux ennuie par la suite, typiquement la moindre installation...
La version .33 est très vielle. Tu peux tenter un autre driver : broadcom-wl Voir les instructions du wiki en

Normal le kernel est à jour.
Je ne pourrais pas vivre avec un système non à jour comme le tient. Pour les problèmes graphiques tu peux désactiver KMS, mais ce n'est pas l'idéal comme j'ai déjà pu l'expliquer.
Entre choisir un système non à jour et KMS, je choisis le système à jour...
De plus tu ne m'as toujours pas répondu à cette question, c'est quoi les logs de xorg pour ctkarch.

Les choix fait dans le liveCD ctkarch sont pour une raison de compatibilité, on ne peux pas tout avoir, performance et supporter tout le monde.

La morale de l'affaire est toujours la même, depuis les débuts de Linux : il y a intérêt à bien choisir son matos quand on l'achète, quitte à dépenser quelques euros de plus, surtout avec les portables...

Parce qu'entre les cartes réseau/wifi en carton que l'on trouve sur certains portables de bas de gamme et les nouveaux chipset graphiques de la mort qui tue qui ne sont reconnus que par Windows, il y a moyen de bien se prendre la tête...

Donc, en gros, pas prendre la première daube en tête de gondole de l'hypermarché du coin et ne pas prendre non plus le modèle dernier cri pour lequel il n'existe pas encore de pilotes sous Linux...

Ce n'est pas la première fois que je lis des posts de mecs qui ont des problèmes avec Acer donc, en ce qui me concerne, je l'ai rayé de la liste.

Pour la carte réseau/wifi, c'est quand même moins grave que pour la vidéo car on peut toujours trouver des cartes réseaux externes (usb ou pcmcia)...

pour ma part, grosse prise de tête aussi avec une carte 'netgear' en pcmcia --> très mal reconnue.... j'ai du utiliser ndiswrapper et surtout beaucoup de recherche pour finalement fonctionner non pas avec les pilotes de ma carte mais avec ceux d'une netgear mais d'un autre modèle !!! Patiente, google et tests à l'aveuglette pour trouver lequel il fallait uttiliser..... Bonne chance !!

1/ je post résolu pour le wifi ! du moins : je n'ai pas fais grand chose : un simple retour à un kernel plus neuf et hop : the return of the wifi !
2/ pour le matos : je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi ! seulement, je voulais juste remplacer mon vieux portable familial (2004) par un neuf VPC (Vraiment Pas Cher !), c'était le deal : ici, c'est madaaaame qui a les cordons de la bourse. Bref, merde totale. Mais je vais devoir faire avec

3/ donc normalement, avec mon script du rc.local, je devrais m'en sortir mieux que trop mal. Seulement, il faut que je trouve sous kde la combine pour ne pas éteindre l'écran une fois rabattu (car malgré la config graphique, ça s'éteint quand même ??!!) car sinon.... et ben rideau noir

Donc tu m'as enduit en erreur depuis le début...

Il n'y a pas de nomodeset... Le livecd utilise bien le driver intel.
Donc pourquoi cela fonctionne correctement ? Je ne sais pas... A toi de creuser et de comparer, sinon demande directement à l'auteur du livecd.
