J'ai un problème depuis un petit moment. J'ai une machine sous ArchLinux sur laquelle samba est installé et où je partage divers dossiers. Sur une autre machine, j'ai Ubuntu et Windows Vista (Se sont les clients).
Quand je copie un fichier avec Ubuntu, je dépasse pas les 1.8Mo/s
Quand je copie un fichier avec Windows Vista, j'arrive au 5-6 Mo/s.

J'y ai pensé récemment. Le truc c'est que j'ai souvent des postes Windows qui se connecte chez moi. De plus samba ressort comme étant plus sécuritaire.
Installer NFS sous Windows semble un peu pénible, non ?
Je savais pas qui pouvais cohabiter. Du coup, je vais peut-être tester. Mais bon, c'est quand même la galère de faire d'avoir deux systèmes de partage pour les même choses :/
Bon, du coup je viens d'installer NFS4 et ça envoi gros du steak !! 8Mo/s !!
Par contre avoir Samba et NFS c'est pas très KISS...En attendant, ça fera très bien l'affaire comme ça.
Par contre, j'ai furté un moment sur le net, et j'ai pas trouvé comment faire pour la gestion de droit avec NFS. Il faut que je créer les utilisateurs de mon clients sur mon serveur, c'est ça ?
En même temps, parler de KISS avec un réseau hétérogène, faut pas rêver : on utilise les meilleurs outils pour chaque situation et, clairement, Samba n'est pas ce qui se fait de mieux pour communiquer d'Unix à Unix...
En ce qui me concerne, pour ne pas me faire suer, j'ai les mêmes utilisateurs sur le serveur et sur les clients et j'ai fait aussi en sorte qu'ils aient les mêmes UID des deux côtés.
Tu as sûrement raison jaco, mais faut avouer que je me serais bien contenté de garder que samba comme je m'étais bien cassé la nénétte à faire un truc propre. Bref, NFS marche bien, très bien, trop bien même, puisque maintenant que je copie un fichier, il me prend toute la bande passante du réseau et ça coupe la musique que j'écoute à travers ce réseau justement.
Peut-être un réglage à faire.
Je vais creuser cette histoire d'utilisateur. Je trouve que que peu de truc sur NFS comparativement à Samba. Je retiens cependant ce que tu as fais (Même utilisateur, même UID).
A la glorieuse époque, on utilisait ça : http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howto/ (il existe surement une version française). Il y a aussi la page consacrée à NFS sur le wiki Arch Linux.
En fait, c'est bien plus simple à configurer que Samba (ce qui n'est pas difficile...).
